Be Ready Roadshow Starting School 2020
We have after consultation, developed a new format for the Starting School Expo which means we bring a road show to you, making it easier to attend in your area and with minimal set up. The road show will come to 3 locations across the Eurobodalla in March 2019.
Narooma Wednesday 27, Batemans Bay Thursday 28, Moruya Friday 29, of March, 6.00 – 8.00pm at the local libraries.
Research on transitioning to school, shows the more community engagement the greater the overall outcomes for families. It’s an opportunity to promote your service and support the success of children starting school in the Eurobodalla.
All you have to do is come along with information about your school/service and talk to parents about what you have to offer and what they need to consider with their child starting school.
There will be an expert panel to give parents an opportunity to hear from a variety of knowledgeable people about school readiness. Dr Kristy Goodwin will be on the panel in Batemans Bay and Moruya. Dr Kristy is a children’s technology and development expert, speaker, and author on raising healthy happy kids in a digital age. It is hoped that with thoughtful discussion and question/answer time, we as a community will support successful outcomes for families of future kindergarteners. Dr Kristy has suggested that she could also do some professional learning for educators,(she is a NESA-endorsed provider) during this visit and we have already covered the logistics cost to have her come to the area so you would be only have to cover her cost for your session. How fantastic would that be to have her at your centre, one on one with your staff.
Dear Families, I am writing to encourage families to be part of our Preschool Management Committee for 2018.
Our AGM will take place on Wednesday 27th February 2018 @ 7pm at the preschool.
Being a member of our Management Committee provides families with the wonderful opportunity to be an active participant of our preschool as a community organisation within our local setting.

Annual World Vision Giving Tree 2018
This year we are once again offering our children the opportunity to give a gift from their heart to children across the ocean who are less fortunate.
The children, as a group will decide on what gift they would like to raise money and then they will come home and ask you if they to complete a job for a gold coin the children will then hang the coin on the giving tree at preschool.

Please note that as a preschool we have meet our funding requirements and have been open for all school pupil free days in 2018 and will take the last 2 days of this term to complete necessary cleaning and professional development sessions which are vital to our preschool delivery.

Children’s Week is next week and there will be a FREE family fun day at the Botanic Gardens! with plenty of fun activities for kids under five as well as informative stalls for parents.

Narooma Preschool Kindergarten is pleased to announce that we are taking part in the local OzHarvest Project.
Each week on a Monday and Thursday a box of fresh produce will be delivered to the preschool for families to take home, eat and enjoy.
This is a local project and is designed to support families. OzHarvest collects quality excess food from commercial outlets and delivers it directly to more than 1000 charities supporting people in need across the country.

On Wednesday 23rd May 2018, Narooma Preschool took part in the National Simultaneous Storytime at our local library. The children had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
